Ever wondered about the secrets behind song composition? What makes a song good or bad? Are you curious about

how melodies and rhythms come together to create music that resonate with us? It’s not as mystical as it may seem. Music composition is grounded in solid Theory (surprise!), shaping how sounds interact and harmonise, and are perceived by humans. 

Autrio, Atharva and Ashvin (all three respected musicians in their own right) hosted the inaugural Music Theory Monday session, which has restarted after a long hiatus. Beginning from the basics, they covered the various notes in music, what combinations sound happy, sad, terrifying, suspenseful, and fun, and how to actually play some songs!
