A theatre play – Pasina was held on 3 September at Himalaya – 105. It was a unique blend of three languages: Telugu, Hindi, and English. The play Pasina, an adaptation of the short story “GHAM” was written by Dr. Indranil Chakrabarty; direction and design were by Ms. Shreyosree Sarkar and Mr. Md Ahsan Habib, postgraduate theatre students from the University of Hyderabad who were supported by a talented group of current UoH students. One of the lead performers was Shravya Gurram, IIIT Hyderabad alumna (EHD-2022) who recently appeared in notable films like Kubera and Brahmanandam, as well as the Sony Liv OTT series The Hunt. Shravya Gurram’s role in the play added a touch of star power to the evening.
This multilingual play, performed in Telugu, Hindi, and English, offered a rich and immersive experience to the audience. The production featured a dedicated team of 12 members, including 6 dynamic performers (3 women and 3 men) and 6 behind-the-scenes contributors, each playing a vital role in bringing the story to life.
