A team lead by Shri Channabasappa, Guest Faculty and Mrs. Anusha Sangam, Research Scholar along with 9 Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) students from Department of Library and Information Science, Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University, Vijayapura visited the IIITH library on 25 September  as a part of their study tour. The library staff explained to the visitors the process of collection development, library operations, technical processes, information dissemination, and modern technologies like RFID tagging in a detailed manner. 

The students were also shown how to enter bibliographical details in the LIBSYS library management software, how to access the e-resources such as e- Journals, e-books etc, RFID tagging process and the books issuing and return process. 

During their visit, they gained hands-on experience with the LIBSYS Library Management System and observed the implementation of RFID technology in library operations. This exposure provided them with practical insights into modern library management practices and technologies.
