IIITH and Sevaspoorthi Foundation, an NGO working for the welfare of the farmers community signed an MoU on 21 August. Present on the occasion were Prof. P Krishna Reddy, Prof. C V Jawahar, V Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy, President, SevaaSpoorthi Foundation; G Ratnakar, Project Manager, Sevaaspoorthi Foundation.

Both parties agreed to work together to provide advanced technology based solutions to important problems in society, especially in the field of human resource development of the farming communities and promotion of scientific agriculture and allied activities in oilseed crops. The purpose of this agreement is to have collaboration in the conduct of frontline demonstrations for showing the productivity potential and profitability of oilseed technologies in areas of Telangana , Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, and Uttar Pradesh for the promotion of oil seeds and capacity building of oilseed farmers.
