IIIT Hyderabad celebrated its 20th edition of Felicity from 7 – 9 February. This year’s theme was Embracing the Curry Culture. Felicity encompasses and embraces the varied and diverse interests of IIITH with everyone playing a role. From nights of music and comedy to codecraft and quizzes, everybody could explore and engage in their interests. Felicity provides the perfect platform to showcase talents in an otherwise packed academic schedule. The three days of felicity were filled with fun, merriment, joy and self-discovery.

Felicity 2020 had many fresh events like human library, footbids and bike stunts show while continuing the traditional ones like stand-up comedy, band performance, EDM night, roadblock, treasure hunt, gaming competitions and arcade, threads,  pulsation, coding contests, food festivals, workshops on data science, dance workshop by The Dance Crew, gaming event by The Gaming Club, Fail!, talks by E-Cell, data science workshop, food fest, robo race, CodeCraft, escape the room, parliamentary debate etc.

The highlight of Day 1 of Felicity were the inaugurals where the students lit up the stage with their amazing music and dance performances. Actor and comedian Kumar Varun’s stand-up comedy had the audience in splits.

Day 2 included many events by various clubs, and E-Cell along with Felicity successfully conducted their second edition of FAIL talks which had renowned speakers like Aruna Reddy, 2018 gymnastics bronze medallist and  YouTuber Gaurav Sen. There were also stalls set up by students and a bike stunt show, which was liked by all. The main highlight of the day was the DJ night where DJ Organic and DJ Olly Esse got the crowd on their feet. 

The final day of Felicity was made memorable by The Local Train and The Merakee. The ambiance created by these popular bands had the whole crowd stop singing along.
