On the occasion of National Engineers’ Day (15 September), a tree plantation drive was organized by Sri S L N Sastry, University Engineer, along with the Civil Engineering team led by Mr. Venugopal. Prof. Sandeep Shukla and Prof. P J Narayanan planted Peepal saplings near the Bakul Hostel, expressing their wish that IIIT Hyderabad will flourish and grow strong, just like the trees in the years to come.

National Engineers’ Day commemorates the birth anniversary of Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, the eminent statesman and former Diwan of Mysore, whose pioneering contributions to engineering continue to inspire generations.
