Dr. Nazia Akhtar gave a keynote address at  An-Nisa: A Tribute to Begum Sughra Humayun Mirza, organized by the Safdaria School, Hyderabad. The Safdaria School is an Urdu-medium girls’ school established by writer, reformer, journalist, and traveller Sughra Humayun Mirza in 1934. Dr. Akhtar conducted an interactive session with the students, in which she discussed Begum Sughra’s literary and reformist achievements and ambitions, followed by brief commentary on the current state of academic research on Begum Sughra’s writings and social work.
