Prof. Anoop Namboodiri gave an invited lecture on Towards billion-scale search for biometric de-duplication at the 20th EURASIP/IAPR/IEEE International Summer School on Biometrics: 20 years of Biometrics: Reflections and Outlooks held in Alghero, Italy from 5 – 9 June.

For the last twenty years, the International Summer School on Biometrics has been closely following the developments in science and technology to offer a cutting edge, intensive training course, always up to date with the current state-of-the-art. The school focused on the development of biometric technologies for human-centred applications. The courses provided a clear and in-depth picture on the state-of-the-art in biometric recognition and authentication technologies, both under the theoretical and scientific point of view as well as in the application domain. The summer school offered an opportunity to researchers, students and professionals to study the most advanced biometric techniques and to face the current challenges in the state-of-the-art.
