Bathukamma, Telangana’s vibrant floral festival, was celebrated on 26 September at the Bakul Warehouse. The occasion came alive with traditional singing, dancing, and joyful community gatherings around the beautifully decorated Bathukamma. The event brought together the entire IIITH community—students, faculty, staff, and security personnel—creating an atmosphere of festivity and togetherness. A special lunch was also organized for all participants.
Bathukamma, which means “Mother Goddess, Come Alive,” is dedicated to Goddess Maha Gauri. At the heart of the celebration is the Bathukamma itself—a striking conical floral arrangement made with locally grown flowers, symbolizing the beauty of nature and its significance in our lives.
