Prof. P Krishna Reddy visited the research facility of Prof. Rajiv Khosla, Professor of Precision Agriculture, Soil and Crop Sciences Department, Colorado State University (CSU), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA on 2 October.
He presented a paper on An Incremental Technique for Mining Coverage, Patterns in Large Databases at the 6th IEEE International Conference on Data Science and Advanced Analytics in Washington DC from 5 – 8 October. The paper was authored by Prof P. K. Reddy and his students Akhil Ralla and Anirban Mondal.
The IEEE International Conference on Data Science and Advanced Analytics (DSAA) featured strong interdisciplinary synergy between statistics (via ASA), computing and information/intelligence sciences (IEEE and ACM), and cross-domain interactions between academia and business for data science.
He also visited Computer Science Department of Colorado State University (CSU), Fort Collins, Colorado, USA on 10 October and carried out research discussions with Prof. Shrideep Pallickara and Prof. Sangmi Lee Pallickara.
He delivered a Guru talk on Experiences of building scalable IT-based systems to deliver actionable agricultural information to farmers, as a part of Guru Speak at Mahindra Technical Academy, Chennai on 25 October.
