Dr. Nimmi Rangaswamy at UNU Macau

Dr. Nimmi Rangaswamy participated in two events at the United Nations University Macau on 24 – 26 April. The first was as a PC member at the UNU Macau at the AI Conference 2024 on AI for All: Bridging Divides, Building A Sustainable Future. The event launched  the UNU Global AI Network officially with a participation of over 30 members, with IIITH being one of the members. Dr. Nimmi Rangaswamy chaired a session on AI Media, Communication and Education. Details at:  https://aimacau-2024.org/parallel-session-room5/

Dr. Rangaswamy also oversaw her first UNU Macau advisory board meeting as Chair of the board. Her role was to advise and guide  the director of the institute on aspects of its academic programme, management and institutional development; advising on the strategic orientation of the research programme, partner-ships, staffing, and fund-raising strategies. The board also reflected on the specific strategy and management of the institute/programme of work and budget, in particular,  the refinement of the benchmarks and indicators of  UNU’s performance as a policy think tank for the UN.
