Team-NEXUS wins International oneM2M Hackathon

Smart City Living Lab team-NEXUS consisting of Mr. Likhith Kanigolla, Mr. Varada Sasidhar, Mr. Surya Suhaas, Mr. Himanshu Fanibhare won the Best Promotion of oneM2M award at the 4th International oneM2M Hackathon, held from 7 October to 13 December for their innovative project – oneM2M: Enabling Water Network Twins.

This marks the fourth consecutive win. This success results from their hard work, innovation, and dedication, guided by their mentors Ms. Anuradha Vattem, Dr. Karthik Vaidhyanathan and Dr. Deepak Gangadharan.

What is Water Network Twin?

Water Network Twin is a digital twin platform integrating IoT devices using the oneM2M standard to create an innovative and proactive water management system.

What sets it apart?

  • Real-time data processing and analytics
  • Predictive analytics to detect and resolve issues like contamination or leaks before they escalate
  • Comprehensive water quality monitoring, automated flow control, and network simulations via an intuitive dashboard

Implemented at IIIT Hyderabad, this project showcases how technology can revolutionize water network management, ensuring more innovative and more efficient solutions.
