The Robotics Research Center at IIIT Hyderabad organised a two-day workshop on “Systems and Intelligence for UAVs”, with a focus on Planning and Control of UAV Systems (Classical & Learning-Based Approaches) on 25 and 26 March.
Conducted in hybrid mode at the KRB Auditorium, the workshop offered comprehensive coverage of key areas including AI-based perception and planning, discrete and sampling-based motion planning, adaptive control in aerial manipulation, visual topological navigation, and reinforcement learning-based planning. The sessions were delivered by domain experts, providing participants with both theoretical understanding and practical insights into real world UAV applications. Participants included representatives from academic institutions and the UAV industry.
The workshop was supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
