IIIT-H is organizing a Summer School on Social Computing from 29 June – 3 July for senior UG, Masters and Ph.D students interested in or already working on the topic; industry practitioners and developers who are keen in augmenting their skills and anyone willing to take up some specific problems and work on it after the summer school. Research areas focused during the Summer School include social network analysis, social recommender systems, analysis of microblogs, affective content analysis – psycho-linguistics – theories, resources, and applications, privacy and security in social system. The aim of this Summer School is to help participants understand how social systems work; build techniques to study, analyse the social systems from different perspectives and develop techniques to collect data about social systems.
