The Student Parliament is a self-less student body that strives to resolve issues faced by the students in college and makes the IIIT community stronger, safer, and better. A new parliament has been inducted and the following internal reforms are being taken by the student parliament. 

The student parliament is taking on a new logo. Design of the logo was an inspiration from the sound ”त्र”(tra) of the Hindi Alphabet. It symbolizes the student parliament as being a “मित्र” (mitra – friend) of all “छात्र” (chhatra – students). It celebrates the independence the students have as a “स्वतंत्र”(swatantra – independent) body and the message of unity or एकत्रता (ekatrata) which they propagate. The yellow represents the sunshine, which energises every living being on this planet and gives the power and passion to carry out duties.

The core focus of the parliament has always been to facilitate and improve the role of the students in decision making. Keeping this in view a PR team has been created, which will ensure that discussions and decisions taken are incorporated by taking majority opinion. It will handle the official social media account of the parliament, and post details regarding upcoming proposals in order to bring transparency to the many works which the parliament undertakes.
