A team from Electronics and Robotics Club (ERC) was the second runner-up in the Home Automation Event organized by Atomberg Technologies at Techfest, IIT Bombay from 16 to 18 December. After the submission of the initial project idea during the prelims, the team was selected among the top 8 in the whole country and given an opportunity to present in front of the panel from Atomberg at IIT Bombay. The team developed a smart glass ecosystem project, and was awarded a total cash prize of 35,000 INR along with Atomberg merchandise for all team members – Rishabh Agrawal, Aditya Sehgal, Tadimarri Desika Sreeharsha and Akshit Gureja (all UG3 – UG2k20).
Home automation is a simple hack for the conservation of energy and eventually financial resources. It helps remotely monitor and control our homes using the Internet of Things for omnipresent appliances.
