Mallela Jhansi, a 2nd-year Ph.D student working under the supervision of Dr. Chiranjeevi Yarra was selected for Research Week with Google 2023, organised by Google Research India from 29 – 31 January in Bangalore.
Google Research India hosted the 3-day Research Week with Google to discuss the state-of-art of a variety of ML techniques and also to discuss their limitations and critiques.
The event consisted of 3 days of research lectures and discussions with select undergraduate, Master’s and Ph.D students, where the esteemed researchers discussed ideas and seminal papers in AI Research to understand current developments and debates in the field. Research Week with Google also had research discussions in the broader Machine Learning area. Additionally, the program had three sub-tracks: Computer Vision, ML Foundations, and Natural Language Understanding. The sub-tracks had combined sessions for undergraduate and Master’s students and advanced sessions for PhD students.
Jeffrey Dean from Google Research was the Keynote Speaker. Prof. C V Jawahar was one of the speakers at Research Week with Google 2023 from IIIT Hyderabad.
