Remote Labs team selected for QDIP

Remote Labs team – Akshit Gureja (UG5 ECD) and Nagesh Walchatwar (MS 1st year) working with Dr. Sachin Chaudhari from Signal Processing and Communication Research Center (SPCRC) was selected by Qualcomm under their Qualcomm Design in India Program (QDIP) to exhibit their innovative project as a part of Qualcomm’s booth at India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2024, organised at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from 15 to 18 October.

QDIP is an initiative by Qualcomm in India for the furtherment of commercial design activities of HW and IoT products & semiconductor startups, encouraging women entrepreneurs and building academic researchers. Only two academic projects were selected pan India for this opportunity, and by virtue of the Qualcomm-supported 5G use case lab hosted at our institute, the Remote Labs project from IIIT Hyderabad was selected to be one of them.

As a part of Qualcomm’s exhibit, the team had the opportunity to present to various MDs, CEOs, founders, and eminent personalities, such as the CMD of BSNL – Mr Robert Ravi and representatives from various media houses like OneIndia, Zee Media, various YouTubers and more.
