Ranjeeth Dasineni, an alumnus of IIIT-H spoke on Running a billion user site – load balancing at Facebook. Currently a part of the Traffic Infrastructure team at Facebook, Ranjeeth explained how Facebook’s globally distributed proxy infrastructure and multiple layers of load balancers aid in keeping the service available round the clock.
