The 25th Pacific-Asia Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (PAKDD-2021) was held online from 11 – 14 May. The conference was hosted jointly by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi and IIIT Hyderabad.  PAKDD is one of the longest established and leading international conferences in the areas of data mining and knowledge discovery. It provided an international forum for researchers and industry practitioners to share their new ideas, original research results, and practical development experiences from all KDD related areas, including data mining, data warehousing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, databases, statistics, knowledge engineering, visualization, decision-making systems, and the emerging applications.

IIIT Hyderabad faculty actively took part in the organization of the conference. Prof. P Krishna Reddy was a member of the Steering Committee, Sponsorship Co-Chair, General Co-Chair and was also chaired a keynote session,  Prof. P  J  Narayanan was a Honorary chair member, Prof. Kamal Karlapalem was Program Co-Chair, Senior Program Committee (SPC) Member and Program Committee Chair, Dr. Naresh Manwani was Tutorial Co-Chair, Dr. Lini Thomas  was Senior Program Committee (SPC) Member.

The conference had 6 workshops, 5 keynote talks, 2 Industrial keynote talks, 1 Most influential paper talk, 3 Tutorials, 157 Research papers and 1 Alibaba competition session.
