The Office of Alumni Affairs, in collaboration with the Student’s Life Office, hosted an informal ice-cream interaction for the outgoing batch on 8 May, as they prepare to transition into the IIIT-H alumni community. The gathering was attended by the Dean of Outreach and Student Affairs and the Chair of the Student’s Life Office, creating a warm and welcoming space for open dialogue and shared ideas.
The interaction began with a brief introduction to the Alumni Affairs team, followed by an engaging discussion on how alumni engagement can continue meaningfully beyond graduation.
Graduating students shared several thoughtful suggestions, expectations, and ideas for strengthening alumni engagement and fostering a deeper sense of community.
Overall, the session was warm, insightful, and highly productive. It was especially encouraging to witness the strong sense of belonging and goodwill that the outgoing batch already feels toward their alma mater — an exciting foundation for a lifelong connection with IIIT-H.
