Intro to Git+Github

The Intro to Git+GitHub session held on 8 October introduced participants to the fundamentals of version control and collaboration using Git and GitHub. The event covered Git’s powerful tools for tracking code changes and GitHub’s role as the go-to platform for hosting and teamwork, widely used in courses like ISS, OSN, and DASS, as well as across the tech industry.

Open to all students, the session provided hands-on guidance on Git basics, with demonstrations on both the command line and VSCode. With Git and VSCode pre-installed, attendees had the chance to practice essential workflows to better manage and collaborate on code. It was a fantastic start for anyone looking to enhance their coding projects!
