IIIT-H Library celebrated the National Librarian’s Day on 12 August marking the 134th birth anniversary of Padma Shri recepient Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, popularly known as the Father of Library Science in India. The programme began with a floral tribute offered by Dr. Subhadip Mitra, chair, library committee, in the presence of Dr. Santosh Nannuru, member, library committee. Deputy librarian Dr. G. Muralidhar highlighted the significance of the day and emphasized the library’s role in fostering knowledge, intellectual growth, and lifelong learning.
