The aim of book exhibitions organised by the library is to help our academic community recommend additions to our collections. The book exhibitions also allow our community to add books to their personal collections, as well as help nurture the reading habit among all of us, especially students. It also allowed our faculty and students to interact directly with different publishers and distributors.
With more than 200 members of our community coming to the book exhibition, this provided a good platform for our community to interact with each other and share recommendations. The response was positive as many aspiring young readers including faculty were seen showing interest. We hope to build on this to organise even better book exhibitions with a wider array of subjects, disciplines, topics and areas.
The major outcomes are as follows.
- Library could able to get good book recommendations
- Faculty members and students have purchased books on their interest
- Students had a chance to get some good collection
- Conversation among the community members related to various book collection
- Healthy environment on book reading
