The Robotics Research Center at IIIT Hyderabad organised a five-day Master Trainer Program (MTP) on the theme “Allied UAS Technologies”, with a focus on Computer Vision and foundational models for UAVs, from 24 to 28 February.

Conducted in offline mode, the programme offered comprehensive coverage of key areas including Vision Foundation Models, Transformers, Diffusion and Generative Models, Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), model compression and deployment, as well as practical modules on ROS, OpenCV, MAVLink, and the integration of vision systems with UAVs. Participants included representatives from academic institutions and the UAV industry.

The programme was supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India.
