A team lead by Prof. T Shantadevi and Sri B Channabasappa, guest faculty along with 9 Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) students from Department of Library and Information Science, Karnataka State Akkamahadevi Women’s University, Vijayapura, visited the institute library as a part of their study tour on 21 November.

 The library staff explained to the visitors the process of collection development,  technical process of books, preservation and conservation of documents as well as the process of disseminating information in a detailed manner. The visitors were also shown how to enter bibliographical details in the library management software, how  to access the e-resources such as Journals, books etc, RFID tagging process and also the books issuing and return process 

 The team appreciated the efforts made by IIIT Hyderabad to explore RFID technology in the library.
