Internal version of Smart India Hackathon (SIH-2020)

IIIT Hyderabad conducted Internal Version of Smart India Hackathon (SIH-2020) on 19 January. Ten teams with 6 students in each participated in the Hackathon (8 teams in software and 2 teams in hardware). Submissions were judged by a panel that comprised of  Prof. Ramesh Loganathan, Dr. Raghu Reddy, Dr. Prabhakar Bhimalapuram and Dr. Aftab Hussain. Dr. Sachin Chaudhari was the single point of contact for SIH-2020.

Smart India Hackathon is the world’s biggest hackathon and open innovation model. This year the problem statements were in the fields of Smart Communication, Healthcare, Agriculture, Vehicles, Food Processing, Robotics, Waste Management, Clean Water, Renewable Energy, Security Survellaince and Miscellaneous. The  prize money for each problem statement was 1 Lakh rupees.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Each college single point of contact (SPOC) nominated total top 7 teams (selected from the internal hackathon of their individual colleges) that were eligible to participate in SIH-2020. The 7 teams were to have top 5 software teams and top 2 hardware teams (including Student Innovation category) from each college. Each team had 6 students and one mandatory female student per team.
