IIITH celebrates 4 years of Kohli Research Block

IIITH celebrated 4 years of Kohli Research Block that houses the Kohli Center for Intelligent Systems (KCIS), named after the Father of Indian IT, Shri FC Kohli on 15 January. The Center has developed into a vibrant and active AI group in the country and beyond over a short span of time. IIITH remembers this moment, made possible by TCS-Foundation grants with a panel discussion between eminent AI researchers.

The discussion on Navigating the Exploding AI Landscape addressed the broad issue of how researchers can predict the advancement of AI in the next 5 years, and anticipate navigating this trajectory in a manner that will actively contribute to its growth without being overwhelmed by the exploding research in this area. Panelists included Prof. Balaraman Ravindran, IIT Madras; Prof. R Venkatesh Babu, IISc Bangalore; Prof. Milind Tambe, Harvard University and Google Research India and Prof. Mohan Sridharan, University of Birmingham and the discussion was moderated by Prof. Anoop Namboodiri.
