IIIT Hyderabad signs MOU with Airports Authority of  India (AAI)

IIIT Hyderabad signed an MOU with Airports Authority of  India (AAI) to assist with their research and development in aviation infrastructure.

Some of the broad areas of collaboration will include geospatial technologies, environmental monitoring and modeling, design & development of engineering systems, Cognitive Sciences in Human Factors Study & Artificial Intelligence (AI), Data Science and Analytics, Cyber Security, Airport operations/Engineering solutions using Robotics/Drones.

In keeping with AAI’s current research activities and its establishment of Civil Aviation Research Organization (CARO), IIITH will assist in the development of  indigenous solutions for problems confronting Indian aviation systems. While IIITH will support AAI in the areas of R&D, the AAI R&D center would provide suitable research platforms for the institute’s faculty and students to further their research.

Speaking on this collaboration, Prof. P J Narayanan, Director, IIIT Hyderabad said, “We are happy to assist Airports Authority of India in furthering R&D in aviations and share the expertise of our researchers in these areas for the overall betterment of India’s aviation infrastructure”.
