Dr. Shubham Singhal delivered a guest lecture during the workshop “Applications of AI in Civil Engineering (AAICE-2026)” at the BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, on 13 July.

His lecture on “Machine Learning for Structural Engineering: Fundamentals and Workflow for Predictive Modeling” introduced the fundamental concepts of machine learning and presented a systematic workflow for developing predictive models tailored to structural engineering applications. Through practical examples and discussions, the session highlighted the growing role of artificial intelligence in advancing structural engineering by enabling data-driven decision-making, improving predictive capabilities, and contributing to the design and management of smarter, safer, and more resilient infrastructure.

The lecture was attended by faculty members, researchers, and practicing engineers.
