Dr. P Pravin Kumar Venkat Rao has successfully completed the Centre for Engineering Education Excellence (CEEE) Program as a mentee at the regional centre of Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT KGP), held from May to December 2025. The CEEE Program is a prestigious joint initiative of the Infosys Foundation and the Indian National Academy of Engineering, supported by All India Council for Technical Education and the IITs, and is recognised as equivalent to a two-week AICTE-ATAL Faculty Development Program.
Selected as one of only 30 faculty members nationwide, Dr. Pravin’s participation reflects his strong academic credentials, research potential, and commitment to advancing engineering education. The program was conducted in a hybrid format, combining two weeks of intensive offline sessions with three weeks of online engagement, focusing on Civil and Environmental Engineering.
Designed to strengthen pedagogical practices and deepen domain expertise, the program provided exposure to contemporary teaching methods, emerging research areas, and best practices from one of India’s leading technical institutions.
This achievement will significantly benefit students, particularly in Structural Earthquake Engineering. The knowledge and insights gained will enrich classroom teaching through real-world applications, modern seismic analysis approaches, and research-driven perspectives. Students can expect more engaging learning experiences, industry-relevant case studies, and a deeper understanding of structural behaviour under seismic forces—an essential competency in a seismically diverse country like India.
