Dr. P Pravin Kumar Venkat Rao, has  been inducted as a panel member to the 7 member committee of the Civil Engineering Division (CED-13:P5) of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for reviewing the old Indian standards. The CED 13 represents the “Building Construction Practices Sectional Committee” and P5 denotes Panel 5 for “Masonry”. He is the youngest panel member amongst others and the first from any of the private universities in India. The other members are Dr. Arun Menon, IIT Madras; Dr. Vaibhav Singhal, IIT Patna; Dr. Hemant Kaushik, IIT Guwahati; Dr. S R Balasubramanian, CSIR-SERC, Chennai; Dr. Rajeev Goel, CSIR-CRRI, New Delhi and Shri P  K Adlakha, IEI (India), Kolkata.
