Dr. Nimmi Rangaswamy gave a keynote talk on Ethical data sets – Training the AI Machine, where she spoke about dataset creators and how they make a dataset shaped by intentions and biases of

creators and under constraints affecting quality of the set and limiting who can meaningfully use them.

Dr. Nimmi Rangaswamy also chaired a session on Advancing AI Ethics in Asia-Pacific: A UNESCO-UNU Workshop on Readiness Assessment Methodology, Sustainable Development Goals, and Generative AI Technologies, organised by UNESCO and United Nations University, Macau on 11 December.
