Dr. Karthik Vaidhyanathan gave the following talks:

• Green Software: From Research to Practice,   at Shortstack 2024 organized by RealPage Inc. He shared his thoughts on software sustainability, and further shared insights about his ongoing research in the space of sustainability, applied to different domains like MLOps, Microservice-based systems, EdgeAI, GenAI, etc.

• Engineering Digital Twins for Intelligent Transport Systems as a part of 18th IEEE International Conference on Vehicular Electronics, Ahmedabad India on 16 December. The tutorial talk focused on how Model Driven Engineering combined with Domain Driven Design can be applied to engineer digital twins. The ideas were demonstrated through two case studies of water network digital twin developed Smart City Living Lab@IIITH and the ongoing development of Digital Twin for ITS as part of the DigIT project – an Indo-UK project involving, International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIITH), Indian Institute of Information Technology, SriCity and Middlesex University.
