Dr. Atul Singh Arora

Dr. Atul Singh Arora joined the Centre for Quantum Science and Technology (CQST) as Assistant Professor. He obtained his Ph.D from Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Belgium. His thesis was on Quantum Weak Coin Flipping. 

Dr. Atul Singh Arora obtained his Bachelor and Master of Science with a Physics major from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Mohali (2011 – 2016). In September 2020, he completed his Ph.D from Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Belgium. Prior to joining IIITH he was a Postdoctoral fellow at California Institute of Technology, USA.  

 Some of his recognitions include:  

  • IQIM Postdoctoral Scholarship, California Institute of Technology. 
  • Hartree Postdoctoral Fellowship, University of Maryland. 
  • Granted financial support for attending the (Physics) Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting.  
  • Renewed – Two-year research fellowship from the Belgian Fonds National Recherche de Science (FNRS), through the FRIA grant.  
  • Awarded – Two-year research fellowship from the Belgian Fonds National Recherche de Science (FNRS), through the FRIA grant.  
  • Amongst the top 5% in the physics stream of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), India
