Campus Life Council and Student life council organized Christmas Celebration on 15 November. It was a joyous occasion that marked the first-ever Christmas program on campus, bringing everyone together to celebrate the spirit of the season at Bakul warehouse. Nearly 250 people participated in the celebrations. The evening began with a heartfelt welcome by students, who set the tone by emphasizing the deeper meaning of Christmas as a season of hope, peace, and togetherness.
The celebration began with a delightful session of carol singing by students, whose melodious voices filled the venue with festive cheer. This was followed by the debut performance of Capstone Band, whose soulful renditions of Christmas carols captivated the audience and elevated the joyous mood of the evening. This was followed by an inspiring speech by the guest speaker, Mr. Kodandaram, Senior Director at Oracle, who shared thoughtful reflections on the essence of Christmas, leaving the audience inspired. Following his address, the carol singing continued with more students performing beautiful renditions in English, Telugu, and Malayalam, showcasing the cultural diversity and unity within the campus.
The vibrancy of the event reached new heights with a dynamic dance performance, which had the audience clapping and cheering enthusiastically. Later in the evening, the Lucky Dip added an element of fun and excitement, with Santa Claus delighting winners by distributing special gifts.
The celebration concluded on a serene and memorable note with a “Silent Night”, where the audience stood with phone torches lit, creating a mesmerizing sea of light that symbolized hope and unity. Snacks and bookmarks were distributed as tokens of appreciation, ensuring every attendee left with cherished memories of the night.
Special thanks to the Student Life Council and Campus Life Council for their help in conducting the event, setting a bright precedent for future Christmas celebrations on campus.
