Dr. Rama Chandra Pillutla conducted an online 5-Day Certificate Training on Basics of Geospatial Tools for Interdisciplinary Research in Natural Resources Management (NRM)  in collaboration with Saci WATERS from 20 to 26 June.

Key highlights of this beginner level hands-on training focused on:

• A live & interactive (online) skill-based training
• Learning basic concepts of GIS and remote sensing
• Understanding basic functions of QGIS
• Developing simple maps using secondary data (non-spatial/spatial)
• Generating spatial vector layers and working with them
• Downloading and analysing satellite images to produce land use/land-cover map
