The Second International Conference on AI Engineering – Software Engineering for AI (CAIN), co-located with the 45th International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE-2023) was held from 14 – 20 May at Melbourne, Australia
Karthik Vaidhyanathan was the poster track co-chair of CAIN – 2023, a co-located conference with the 45th International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE – 2023) held virtually from 15 – 16 May 2023 and physically on 20 May 2023. ICSE is the premier conference (Tier A*) in the field of software engineering and CAIN is continuing to grow as a premier conference in AI Engineering. CAIN was held as a hybrid event, the aim of CAIN – 23 was to bring together researchers and practitioners in software engineering, data science and AI, and to build up a community that will target the new challenges emerging in Software Engineering for AI-enabled systems.
The conference consisted of 3 keynotes by Ken Power, Motional, USA; Foutse Khomh, Polytechnique Montréal, Canada and Aurelie Jacquet, CSIRO-Data61, Australia), 17 technical paper presentations, 10 poster presentations, chaired by Karthik Vaidhyanathan alongside Mona Rahimi from Northern Illinois University, USA, 3 industrial talks and a panel discussion.
Karthik was involved in the organization of this conference along with some eminent researchers/scientists in the field of software engineering like Jan Bosch, Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden; Helena Holmstrom Olsson, Malmo University, Sweden and Ipek Ozkaya, SEI, CMU, USA to name a few.
