IndiaAI Fellowship to IIIT-H Students

Arihant Jain and Gouravarapu Shanmukha Sai Keerthi, UG5 Dual Degree students have been awarded the prestigious IndiaAI Fellowship under the IndiaAI Mission.

Arihant Jain, working under the guidance of Dr. Deepak Gangadharan, received the fellowship for his project titled “AI-Driven Event Recognition and Fall Detection for Enhancing Two-Wheeler Safety.” His work focuses on leveraging artificial intelligence to improve road safety through intelligent event recognition and accident detection systems for two-wheeler riders.

Gouravarapu Shanmukha Sai Keerthi, working under the guidance of Dr. Kavita Vemuri, was recognized for her project titled “Improving SpeechRehab by Auto-Detection of Muscle-Specific Articulatory Errors in Post-Stroke Patients.” Her research explores the use of AI-driven techniques to support speech rehabilitation by identifying muscle-specific articulatory errors in post-stroke patients, enabling more effective and personalized therapy.

The IndiaAI Fellowship is a flagship initiative of the IndiaAI Mission aimed at empowering students enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs at leading academic institutions across India. The fellowship seeks to advance AI education, research, and real-world applications by bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical implementation.
