The IIITH Alumni Affairs committee organized a memorable Alumni Meet on 11 July at Himalaya 205, the eve prior to the convocation ceremony. This special evening was dedicated to celebrating the transition of our newest graduates from students to proud alumni. The event was filled with nostalgia, camaraderie, and joyful reunions.

The meet witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 60 alumni, including local attendees from Hyderabad and several senior alumni from the first few batches, who traveled from the US, accompanied by their families. A few faculty members, including the Director, Prof. P J Narayanan joined the gathering, adding to the warmth of the occasion. Alumni were thrilled to reconnect with their classmates and share fond memories and life experiences.

The evening commenced with a welcome address by Prof. P J Narayanan who highlighted the various research programmes and new initiatives on campus. Prof. Praveen, Chair of the Alumni Affairs Committee, provided an overview of the committee’s recent initiatives and activities. This was followed by a brief session by Meenakshi Vishwanathan, who spoke about the lifetime benefits available to alumni.

The evening concluded on a delightful note with a sumptuous dinner, bringing the gathering to a perfect close.

The Alumni Affairs Committee remains committed to fostering strong connections between alumni, students, faculty, and the campus, nurturing a vibrant and engaged IIITH community.
