AISEhack-2026

Vijay Aravynthan (UG3-CSD) and Itikela Bhaskar (UG3-CSD) secured second place at AISEhack, a national-level research competition organized by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) in collaboration with IBM. The competition saw participation from over 2,000 participants nationwide, with the final round held at the IIIT Hyderabad campus on 4 April, hosting more than 200 finalists from across the country.

Competing in the Flood Prediction track, Vijay and Bhaskar developed a system capable of identifying and predicting flooded areas using satellite imagery. Their solution has the potential to significantly enhance disaster response efforts by enabling quicker and more targeted relief to the most affected regions, especially in the context of increasing climate-related challenges.
