ACM India HCI 2018

Dr. Nimmi Rangaswamy was the Program Chair at ACM India HCI 2018, a premier conference for Design and HCI in India, held in Bangalore from 16 – 18 December.

The theme, Beyond and Behind the Screen, discussed the dominant paradigm of interacting with digital technology and various emerging modes of HCI. The three-day event had workshops on 16  December while the main technical program including keynote talks, courses, papers, demos, late break work, case studies, and the consortia (student research, student design and doctoral), were conducted on 17  and 18 December. With over 300 international and national attendees, the conference had attracted speakers, keynotes and participants from across the globe.

Dr. Rangaswamy’s CHI 2018 Paper, Scaling Classroom IT Skill Tutoring: A Case Study from India was featured in the ‘Best of India’ session.

IIIT Hyderabad will be hosting the next edition of  ACM India HCL conference in 2019.
