IIITH celebrated India’s 78th independence day on 15th August at Tarangini amphitheatre. The event began with flag hoisting by Prof. P J Narayanan followed by the national anthem, Director’s address, Registrar’s address, oath taking by student parliament secretary, speaker, and student parliament members, speech by student parliament, presentation of student parliament annual report, patriotic performances by students, faculty and staff kids.  These included a series of inspiring performances including speeches, dances, and musical renditions that celebrate India’s heritage.

On the occasion of India’s 78th Independence day a blood camp was also organised by students of NSS-IIIT Hyderabad with help of Osmania medical team. 81 units of blood was collected from 81 donors. The collaborative efforts of IIITH faculty, students, NSS volunteers, GAD office, SLO office and housekeeping staff made the event a huge success.
