Prof. Y. Raghu Reddy Delivers Masterclass on AI Testing at FICCI Telangana, Hyderabad

Prof. Y. Raghu Reddy, Associate Professor and Head of the Software Engineering Research Center (SERC), IIIT Hyderabad, delivered a masterclass titled “The AI Testing Crisis: What, Why & How” on 18 September 2026, at ASCI, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, as part of the FICCI Telangana Masterclass & Workshop Series – “Building Future-Ready Leaders.”

The session focused on the emerging challenges of testing AI-based systems and the need to rethink conventional software testing approaches in the context of Artificial Intelligence. Through discussions and interactive activities, participants explored different AI failure modes and considered how appropriate testing techniques could identify such failures before systems are released into production.

The masterclass was part of FICCI Telangana’s September–October 2026 series, which brings together experts from technology, education and professional development to discuss AI, leadership, learning and institutional transformation. The session provided participants with an opportunity to engage with practical aspects of AI testing and understand the importance of systematic testing for building more reliable AI-enabled systems.
