Dr. G Satheesh Reddy, former Chairperson, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), gave a talk on “Integrating Indigenous Wisdom for Modern Technological Leadership” on 9 September. 

Dr. G Satheesh was also Scientific Adviser to the Defence Minister, Architect of several key capabilities in India’s indigenous missile navigation, seekers, and BMD/ASAT programmes. He also worked closely with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at the Missile Complex in Hyderabad. He is a Member of the National Security Advisory Board (NSAB), President of the Aeronautical Society of India and Honorary Advisor, IIT Hyderabad.  

Organised by Swadhyaya Samiti Team, the session explored how India’s indigenous knowledge, intellectual traditions, and civilisational wisdom can inform contemporary technological thinking, leadership, innovation, and nation-building.
