The IIIT-H Library organised a three-day Book Exhibition from 19–21 August, formally inaugurated by Prof. Sandeep Kumar Shukla, Director, IIIT Hyderabad. The exhibition was organised to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. S. R. Ranganathan, widely regarded as the Father of Library Science in India.

The exhibition aimed to introduce the IIIT-H faculty and student community to new developments and resources in their areas of interest while encouraging a culture of reading across the campus.

More than 10 distributors participated, showcasing over 10,000 books from leading Indian and international publishers. Academic titles covered a wide range of disciplines, including Computer Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Civil and Structural Engineering, GIS and Remote Sensing, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and the Humanities.

The exhibition also featured a diverse selection of literature and general reading in English, Hindi and Telugu. Participating publishers and distributors included CBS Publishers & Distributors, Shanti Book Service, Standard Book Company, Professional Book Service in collaboration with Feel Books, Shah Book House, Book Selection Centre, Akshara Book Shop, Minds Book Stores, National Book Trust India – Hyderabad Book Shop, and Navachetana Mobile Book Exhibition Van.

Books from renowned publishers such as Taylor & Francis, CRC Press, Routledge, Springer, Elsevier, Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, World Scientific, Wiley, Pearson, Orient BlackSwan, American Mathematical Society, PACKT, SAGE, Penguin, Hachette, HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Bloomsbury, Permanent Black and Primus were among those on display.
