Dr. P. Pravin Kumar Venkat Rao, Assistant Professor, Earthquake Engineering Research Centre (EERC), and his Ph.D. scholar, Mr. Rohan Vashisht, published their research paper titled “Seismic Retrofitting of Masonry Structures Using Textile-Reinforced Mortar Composites: Field Applications and Design Framework” in the Structures (Elsevier) Journal of The Institution of Structural Engineers (UK). 

The paper presents a comprehensive design-oriented review of seismic strengthening of masonry structures using Textile-Reinforced Mortar (TRM) composites, integrating experimental findings, field applications, and international design provisions. It highlights key aspects influencing structural performance, including bond behaviour, reinforcement configuration, and failure mechanisms, while also discussing the potential of sustainable natural fibre-based TRM systems for masonry retrofitting. 

The publication reflects the research contributions towards advancing resilient and sustainable solutions for earthquake-resistant infrastructure.
