Richa Chadda

IIIT-H is delighted to welcome Richa Chadda to the IIIT-H family as a Senior Manager at the Faculty Affairs Office. She brings with her a diverse professional journey that spans the corporate sector, entrepreneurship, community building, and the literary world. Her work across these spaces has been shaped by a strong focus on collaboration, people engagement, and empathetic leadership.

She began her career in Banking & Financial Services industry, in organisations like HSBC and RBS (now Natwest Bank), where she spent over a decade working across software development and project management roles. The experience helped her build strengths in institution-building, stakeholder management, team leadership, and navigating complex organisational environments.

Over time, her interest increasingly shifted towards creating meaningful communities and spaces centred around learning and engagement. Driven by a deep love for books and storytelling with a special interest in Indian writing and children’s literature, Richa went on to build and run a community library in Hyderabad and worked extensively in the children’s education and engagement space through her entrepreneurial initiatives. Her work brought together schools, educators, authors, publishers, and readers through reading programmes, literary conversations, and collaborative community initiatives including those with the Department of English at the University of Hyderabad. She regularly contributes features and reviews for platforms like The Hindu Young World and NWFC by Azim Premji University. Volunteering and community engagement continue to remain central to her work.

At IIIT Hyderabad, she looks forward to working closely with faculty, strengthening support systems, and building conversations and collaborations that contribute to a more connected and enabling academic environment.
