The National Conference on Communications (NCC) is a flagship conference of India in the area of Communications, Signal Processing and Networks. It has been organized every year, starting from the year 1995, by the Joint Telematics Group (JTG) of the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) and the Indian Institute of Science. The 32nd National Conference on Communications (NCC-2026) was jointly organized by IIT Hyderabad, IIIT Hyderabad, IIT Bhilai, IIIT Naya Raipur from 26 February to 1 March at IIT Hyderabad. IIIT Hyderabad made major contributions in the organization as well as the technical program of NCC-2026. The following are the highlights of IIIT Hyderabad at NCC2026:

• Prof. Jayanthi Sivaswamy gave an excellent keynote address on “Medical Image Time Series Processing”. It was a new and illuminating topic for the NCC audience.
• Prof. Lalitha Vadlamani served as one of the four Technical Program Committee Chairs. She was responsible for putting together the entire technical program, mainly the contributed and the invited sessions. She along with other Co-chairs handled the reviews of 300+ papers with the help of the technical program committee consisting of 180 members and additionally 100+ reviewers.
• Prof. Sachin Chaudhari served as a Publications Co-Chairs. This involved ensuring IEEE compliance of publications, specifying the format for final manuscript submissions, preparing proceedings and submitting the proceedings to IEEE Xplore. Prof. Sachin also participated as a panelist in a panel discussion on the topic: “From Research to Silicon and Beyond: Closing the Gap”. It was an interesting panel discussion with representation from both industry and academia.
• Prof. Santosh Nannuru served as a Sponsorship Co-Chair. He, along with Sundar Vanka from IIT Hyderabad, brought in a good amount of sponsorship from various companies including TCS Research, Silicon Labs, Qualcomm and others. This was crucial to the success of the conference.
• Prof. Saikiran Bulusu served as a Publicity Co-Chair. The proactive and targeted publicity by him resulted in a record number of paper submissions to the conference.

Overall, IIIT Hyderabad played a significant role in the successful organization of NCC 2026.
