IIIT-H and ITDA Uttarakhand sign MoU

The International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIIT-H) and the Information Technology Development Agency (ITDA), Uttarakhand, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during the 5th India Digital Empowerment Meet & Awards – Uttarakhand Edition. The agreement was formalised by IIIT Hyderabad Director Sandeep Shukla and ITDA Director Alok Pandey, in the presence of IT Minister Pradeep Batra, IT Secretary Nitesh Jha, Ashish K Upadhyay, and other distinguished dignitaries. Prior to the signing, Hon’ble Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and the IT Minister interacted with the delegation and expressed their appreciation for the initiative.

This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to leveraging technology for inclusive growth and sustainable development. As part of the partnership, experts from IIIT Hyderabad will assess the state’s IT infrastructure, undertake research, and identify critical gaps. Their recommendations will contribute to strengthening systems and enhancing cybersecurity across the state.

The partnership marks a significant step toward advancing innovation, research, and capacity building, bringing together ITDA’s vision for digital transformation and IIIT Hyderabad’s academic and technological expertise.

The event was centred on the theme: “Uttarakhand’s Digital Transformation through AI & Cybersecurity towards Viksit Bharat 2047.”
